Chinese Method
The Chinese classified all phenomenon of universe into Five Elements.
- Wood( Solidity)
- Fire (Combustion, development of heat )
- Earth (Fertility)
- Metal ( Fusibility)
- Water ( Fluidity)
The Theory of five elements basically explain the interpromoting, interacting, overacting and counteracting relationship among them. They reflect a deep understanding of natural law,the universal order underlying all things in our world.
Two cyclic sequences, which are termed the Generative Cycle and Destructive Cycle.
- “ Sheng ” Cycle ( Generative Cycle)
- Fire is fed by Wood
- Ashes which form become Earth
- Metal is formed in Earth
- Water springs from Metal ( Fluidity arise from solid state )
- Water nourishes tree which become Wood
2. “Ko” Cycle ( Destructive Cycle )
- Fire melts Metal
- Metal cut Wood
- Wood cover Earth
- Earth dams Water
